Mercury 300xs cowl shipping
What would be the most cost effective and safest way to ship a Mercury 3.2 cowl (300xs).

If I was doing it I'd probably use Fedex Ground and wrap it in many layers of bubble wrap then find a very sturdy box. Seems like overkill to build a wooden crate and truck freight it, probably 3-4 times the cost, but of course that's safer.

Make the box as small as possible and still protect the cowl. FedX and UPS have a L x W x H formula used to price shipping. I recently used a larger box to ship and it was a lot more expensive.
