Take the 3.4 hpdi swap electronics from ox66 250 add 225 heads add the oxygen sensor to the 3.4 block 356hp all day smoothe running torque galore and reliable just make sure there are no corners all smooth Radius into the window piston and Bottem entry’s will make fuel stay mixed more power an economy

Can you elaborate a bit more on the first sentence. Lost me a bit.
My block isn't machined for the 02 sensor. Casting is there but wasn't machined for it.

You have to machine the block for Oxygen sensor and the fuel injection from a 250

I have done a HPDI to EFI operating systems swap. The exhaust cover needs to be swapped to bolt the electronics. I was able to fat file the O2 boss and drill and tap the bolt holes, as well as the hole into the cylinder for the sensor. I also added the third low pressure fuel pump to the block the same way. You use the HPDI flywheel and starter. It makes a beast of a reliable motor, from a hand grenade POS.

Built a number of these out of parts most people throw away. Probably one of the best kept secrets out there.

Well if you find enough throw away parts to build another one let me know.

    PM Sent.

And for anyone else that might know. Looking for pics and dimensions of the hole through the block for the 02 sensor

For the most part it’s a 1/8 hole with a step up the insert that slides into is of a 8 mill the gasket kit is a good template to start with but I’d get all the parts first and mic the insert valve they are a beast

I did not use the insert.

Your better off just adding the ox66 fuel system to the 3.4 and making the oxy sensor provisions clean up the casting alignment , radius the Bottem windows and taking out the extra hanging in the exhaust window it just brings it to the max port it was designed for max power !! This set up will make 356 Hp all day long on stock efi parts now you can crank up the fuel pressure and slot the timing mount and 91 fuel 400 Hp gets close… Every Yamaha made has Always been detuned from factory to live on low quality fuel !! Id do 2 major additions before cranking it up from factory efi 1 add piro ports in exhaust and a Johnson enrichment solenoid to safeguard lean out / I’ve put many on 2.5 mercury to save them after chopping the throttles and lean wipe out at Hi rpm .. hope you get that old school rules sticker on the cowling when your all done long live the 2 stroke power (just a thought 600 Hp Merc 70,000.00) will only last 7 years before exhaust eats out the block …

Sorry to high jack this tread. But I’m just wondering when converting from hpdi to 0x66 operating system. Did u use the hpdi oil pump setup , or cap off the oil lines to hpdi pump and use 0x66?
Nitrous is like a slut. u wanna hit it but you know there will be consequences.

On that port work I’ve always brought the exhaust ports to the casting and always seemed to have a very powerful blueprint to go by as far as transfers make them square with out changing port entry angle but mostly found it’s the feeds for the ports that are limiting power Click image for larger version.
