After hours of searching, ive still got nothing.
What are you guys doing to pick up the 200 xri? Nothing crazy but would love to have a little more.

e if you picked up 25 hp, you barely notice the difference. need at least 50, to make a notable performance increase. been there, done that.

Cut your heads to bring compression up to 145 to 150. Add Chris Carson reeds. Enjoy!

A more major thing you could do is swap the front half or cut it out to a 7 petal. You can also swap to a different intake setup like a MAD efi.
Agree with the cutting heads and I assume you have already ditched the oil injection..8' Yellow Jacket - 25 hp Mariner

1990 Collins Mirage - 15" 260

25 hp Merc that runs on ACETONE
25 hp Merc with dry side pipe
25 hp Merc with 11" mid and 2.42:1 gears

GREAT point on ditching the oil injection and going to pre-mix if you have not already

Cut Head's and the reed will be the most gain for the $$$$ to just bolt on.

To obtain any measurable performance gains, you need to do several things. Ditch the oil injection, remove exhaust liner and drill the can right above the cavitation plate, cut heads to 140-145 psi, reeds, and put a digital box on it if yours is an older analog box like my 1992 was. At that point, I’d probably have the exhaust chest cut a little as well.

Hey question on ditching the oil injection... I know that is a reliability thing, but is there any performance gain from that too?

Yeah, your motor will last longer at higher rpms, thats a performance gain.
