Call these guys. They will get you a good rate. https://www.freightcom.com/

I have also used FedEx or UPS before, and the rates have been reasonable.

https://orangehub.schneider.com/home#/home should give at least 3 or 4 companies and 1 or 2 service (speed) options for each... pay with credit card, print out bill of lading, they will schedule the pickup with the carrier you choose.

Not sure where you are shipping it from, but here are some LTL shipping ideas to lower your freight costs. You need to bring the crate to the carriers terminal, or make sure you are shipping from a dock or have a way to put it in the back of the semi trailer (forklift). If the carrier uses a liftgate and pickup at your house, each one of those has a fee of about 100.00 each depending on carrier. Same on the delivery side. Either the person can pick it up from the carriers terminal, or have it delivered to a business that can take the crated motor off the back of the semi truck via a dock or forklift. Again, liftgate or residential delivery will again have a cost of about 100.00 each.

Dont forget insurance different companies cover by the pound 5 to 25.00 a pound by freight class ,You have to do a little research to find what each company amount per pound . Central and southeastern have the better coverage in my class .

Good call, this is really important. I have found some companies unwilling to insure used motor/parts shipments at all (beyond the basic couple bucks per pound).
Also, you can sometimes get used factory OB shipping pallets for free from dealers - some are tripping over them.

I have had good luck using freightquote .com which is run by CHrobinson. They have 20+ different carriers and compare prices and times to get you the best rate. I've shipped motors from Michigan to Alabama for $150 insured

I have used CH Robinson the motors are not fully insured unless you pay extra . Most of the companies are 8 to 10 dollars a pound only a couple are close to $20.00 wont get even close to paying for a 300R in crate 720lbs x $10.00 not even 10k of insurance. I quit using them because of high insurance cost.

I guess I have never looked into it that far but I have only shipped powerheads also. I think I've only had to ship one complete and it was through UPS direct.
