I understand the date code but trying to identify the manufacturer.. not sure about Baker as they started in1984Outboards! Seriously!

...hull identification number is hin, and proper nomenclature. (vin's are for cars, trucks, etc.) the first three "letters" of a hull number are what the united states coast guard(uscg) assigns the boat builder/manufacturer when they apply to them for a hull prefix, to emboss into the transom(as well as a second secure interior location known only by the boat builder) of their future boat builds. the next five digits are completely up to the manufacturers discretion of use, but usually include a boat "model" letter(s) identifier, followed by a hull number count. but this is not in stone, they could reverse that, or any combination, its up to them. then this is followed by the month of manufacture, which in your hull number is febuary. the end numbers are the model year, yours being 19"82"...
