Ultrasonic cleaner Q?
So I have one with heat, what do you use for solvent? I am thinking something like Sea Foam? BRP Engine Tune, etc?

For four stroke carburetors I use dawn or simple green. Super funked ones get a pre soak in power tune.

I use a small one with Berrymans Chem Dip. NIck borrowed the unit a month or so ago and used Purple Power with great results.

What are you putting in it? Depending what your cleaning, you will need/want different chemicals. I'm assuming your doing carbs. Be careful what you put in and how hot you run it. You con't want anything corrosive. (I see purple power mentioned, you probably want to stay away from that, or run it colder and for a shorter period). Also, watch how long you run it. You shouldn't need much. (10 min is normal). If you run it too hot, for too long, with the wrong chemical, you can eat away or damage the carb.
The chem dip works well. I've heard good things about simple green in there as well.

Purple Power is corrosive. Will eat your carb if left too long.

Paul Ive tried several. Piston Kleen @ $100.00 for 5 gals, Krud Kutter @ $75.00 for 5 gals and surprisingly Ive found that L A's Awesome Cleaner out performs them all. its about $6.00 a Gallon at Lowes and $3.00 a half gallon from the Dollar store. i use it full strength on Everything I do. It doesnt damage Aluminum like (Purple power) as that has caustic acid in it. My cleaner is a 8 gallon unit so for half the cost of other Cleaners and out performs is a no brainer to me.
For my small one I use for My Injector machine Im still using Krud Kutter because i have about a gallon of it left.

I use oil eater at about 4:1. the big difference (and i mean BIG) was to let the unit warm up to 65 Celsius. soak the carbs in it and once it reaches temp, run it for a full 30 minutes. make sure the water level is about an inch from the top! on a new batch of solution, run it for 5-10min with nothing in it. this "degasses" the solution, making it more effective. careful with certain parts cleaners with aluminum. i've used the simple green "aviation parts cleaner" too with great results, but its really that warm soak combined with 30 min of cleaning time that does it for me. clean off all bigger chunks of crap with soap and water before putting them in the tank, too.

30 years ago when I was in the oil/lubricants industry there was a company selling a bigass dishwasher that was designed for transmissions. Literally. Don't remember the name of the company. They used Simple Green. Amazing how well it worked.

Omc engine tune was the best I used, sea foam was good, the simple green type cleaners you had to be real careful with them.
