    DDT on an Opti?

Going with a friend to look at an 250 XS Optimax. The engine is not hooked up, the guy sold the boat. Therefore, we cannot hear it run. The guy seems like an honest fellow. Everything he has told him about the boat and engine seems to match his Facebook history. He also appears to take care of his personal belongings by photos on there. It's a 2017 with 100 hrs on it and looks to be in perfect shape. Can a DDT tell you if there are any major problems? Any suggestions on verifying the engine is in good shape? It's currently bolted to a pallet.

Ok so does the DDT provide that power or do we need to hook it up to the battery. Sorry I have only seen a DDT used once and the motor was on the boat. We are using a friend's DDT and are going to get a crash course in how to work it here soon. Thanks!

You will need 12V DC as well as a way to energize the ECU (key switch and Harness). Not easy W/O these.
