Warning module
What's involved in adding a head over temp warning module on a promax 225? I recently purchased an xb2003 . I discovered that there is no warning module . It has the oil injection delete. The only temperature monitoring is a sensor on the top of the starboard head. One tan colored wire goes to the temperature gauge .The sensor works. The motor has a Brucato acu. Does anyone know if the acu supports those head temp sensors, at least I think that's what they are.

The tan wire is temp sensor and goes straight to buzzer in harness. Not thru computer. It's hard wired. Same on carbs.

You can add one on the other head and piggy back it on the same screw that the stbd head temp sender goes to...or you can put a readable sender in each of those head temp holes and run wires up to gauges in the dash if you wanna readout

Their is not a warning module.. There is no beep when I turn on the ignition switch. As far as I can tell, a tan wire goes to the temp gauge from the sensor on the top of the starboard side head. There is another tan wire that is not connected to anything. I was told that originally it was a 260 and the powehead changed to a 225 after the 260 blew up. I want to get all this corrected before boating season. I have a seloc manual but it is not much help.

Sounds like someone disconnected it...that other tan wire should go to an idolator block and then into the 9 pin main engine harness...on up to the buzzer (somewhere near the key switch).

you should see a small, plastic term block, starboard side where tha case halves meet that will have 2 tan or tan/blue wires terminated on it.. if you ground those two wires to tha block you should get a buzzer.. if not you need ta find out WHY... oiler stuff removed you will not have tha self check beeps when key is turned on.. test and/or trace tha tan wire on tha starboard head.. unless tha sensor has been changed it needs ta go to a buzzer and/or warning light.. thats its only function.. should be only 1 or 2 wires.. if 2 one will be black for ground other will be tan or tan blue... it will not read temperature... tha sensor in tha port head will have 2 tan/black going to ecu.. 1 tan or tan/blue that is for a temp. GAUGE only.. black ground
