    27 kryptonite
26 scarab also was pretty good

    Had/have all three
24 sb cuts through chop but is narrow
    27 kryptonite does not know it’s a 27’ boat, thinks it’s 30plus

Probably new. Tuff’s are beautiful. Never heard much about them being great rough water boats.

The guy I bought my 22 from moved up to a 24LD. I've seen him go through some hellacious water with it. For a 24' boat, it's pretty amazing.

I like them but a boat that's still being produced and is easy to get parts for would be huge. If I go sport boat again a small cabin would probably be a must.

    Another vote for Progression.

As far as Apache parts not being available it doesn't work that way in the boat world, manufacturers make the hull and pretty much everything else is a supplied part they bought from another manufacturer. That is why older boats can be fully restored without relying on the company that built it originally.

I understand most of that but I own an older Fountain which I still love but dealing with them for parts which they did or do manufacture or simply getting info for is next to impossible.

Understood, the more parts they make then I guess it can be tough. The old Apaches are pretty simple, especially the outboard versions.

What’s your definition of “rough”? I’ve got a 24’ Superboat CC. 300XS. I came back from coffee and a haircut a couple days ago. Gusts to 34 creating a short steep 2’+ chop. Cruising at 40 was relatively comfortable and very controllable.
Now had that same wind been out of the south on an ebbing tide I would have had 3-4’ swells as well. 40mph would have been pretty sporty.
One thing I can say for this boat is how amazingly dry it is. For a 24’ boat is really does handle rough conditions well, but it still is just 24’. There are days I’m hesitant to make the run over towards Hilton Head as the turn off the end of Paris Island is very exposed to ocean swells.
I’ve been eyeing some bigger boats in the 29’- 32’ range.
