My New Tuff 24 Build
Stating this thread as it was requested by a few members.
Nothing special, no carbon just a real Lake Michigan boat to have some fun with. I would like to rig it with a 300XS but they are few and far between so maybe a 300R?

Fantastic looking boat ... great size too. Please keep posting pics. Just curious how fast with a 300 ? A 450 ?

No I do not think so on the 450, pretty sure the weight will make the boat unhappy. Blake has went 118 with a 15" 300xs on his, and I think Mark went 110 with a 300r and just a little bit of testing. Both of those boats where carbon though and lighter then mine. I will be happy with 100-105, but it will take seat and setup time to get there!!! Unless I get lucky like I did with the 16 haha. I wanted 60 out of that one and in the first 10 min with the 90 Yamie it was going 62mph with Jamie and I in it. That is a different ball game though haha!
Wildman, I am sure we will be in touch! I will need a prop at least for the 300r if I go that route and if I remember correctly you have a good handle on the Hill setup for those.
I will keep posting picks here too, the interior should be done in a few weeks and then it will be ready to ship over to me! I will keep weight in mind through the build though. Even though it is not carbon my end weight should be impressive. I will take what I have learned from building cars over to this one. Details count!TJ @ Baker Engineering

Don't rule out the 300R, it might be better on the heavier layup. I don;t recall the speed but a guy around the corner from me has one with a 250 and I think he is knocking on 100 Also, Blake is the ultimate setup guy and spends a lot of time dialing it in. I feel like of he had the 110 mph 300R boat he would find more. Not taking from mark, Blake is focused and dedicated to make it all it can be, Mark I don't believe can dedicate that kind of time to get it there.2023 TUFF 25
