    Poured transoms

Would like to hear some comments from people who HAVE transom replacement with the poured transom mix. Pros and cons, tips, etc. Thanks!

Solid as a rock. Cut the cap off, take a long bar chainsaw and shop vac to dig the existing transom out (chain leaves a nice clean surface on the inner skins for the mix to adhere to). Pour the mix, let it kick, finish and glass the transom cap back on and re-rig. I have watched/been involved in several now. Much less labor intensive then a traditional replacement as long as the boat has good supports (fore to aft) that don't need to be replaced. You will see on the label that is it is made in Edgewater Florida and Scott Porta was very instrumental with the development of Seacast.

I've never heard anyone complain about seacast quality. Only that its heavier than wood

    Con for me=no Canadian Dist.
If I knew it was going to last this long I would have taken better care of it.
