They still run inboards on the Niagara river since 1905 but the Marathon is gone, I was hoping to find a race to run?

The racing moved from Tonawanda Isle View park to North Tonawanda Gratwick park where the river is three times as wide

with a slower current because of the width of the river, Niagara Fall is just north. of the site.

NT as we call it always had a volunteer fire dept. with a paid driver nesting with the fire truck for quick response with the volunteer's showing up to work, I've heard they may have to go to full paid firefighters because civic duty is a thing of the past, sad, the quarterback from my high school team dragged me down to sign up right after my 18th birthday.

Tonawanda is good but the grandaddy of this racing is in Valleyfield Quebec-a big 3 day party!

I've been to Kingston Ontario to watch the Hydro's run, I should try to make that race since my wife's mother is from Ottawa, most of her family has always worked for the government, her mother is 94 and is the same person I first met 50 years ago I can't believe how well she has aged, her memory is perfect.

It was great a few years ago when they had the Formula 1 tunnels there with Seebold et al. but the hydros alone are a good show with the Grand Prix thunder right in front of you only separated by a concrete barrier. They've had Can-Am there as well the last few years. 100,000+ over 3 days!
