I have seen a bunch of people on here swear by Toluene. Not sure of the ratio or what not but you can search the threads to see what to do.

Here are the two that came up on top. If this does not tell you what you need to know, you can search for more.

I use ACES 2 stroke formula, great stuff with an excellent reputation to back it up, search it on here, lots of guys use it with amazing results, Jay Smith does a great right up on it.

I’ve tested Boostane in 93 in a supercharged 2018 mustang, where the spark control strategy constantly looks for the knock limit. It definitely was very effective. The provided mixing chart appears to be pretty accurate.

There is no magic to raising octane. Use what the refineries use, i.e. aromatics like toluene.

If an octane booster works, it contains that kind of chemicals. You just pay more for the cool name.

If it does not contain that kind of chemicals - a warning sign is that you only need a tiny amount - it is snake oil.

...but you cannot measure the effect in an octane testing machine.

    Draw your own conclusions.

You can assume that the mix ratio is linear. So it depends on what octane rating the race gas has.

At 150 pounds compression in a 2.5 liter Mercury, 93 octane should be close to what you need, unless you run extreme timing.

    From what I remember, we ran 98 RON = 93 (R+M)/2 in a 2.5 260 with 33cc heads and cold compression in the high 140s according to the (cheap) gauge.<object id="__symantecPKIClientMessenger" data-supports-flavor-configuration="true" data-extension-version="1.0.1" style="display: none;"></object>__PRESENT

I was running 145 pounds with no problem made a piston change now its at 150 and now I have a 93 pump gas problem but I may just go back to stock head gasket should get it back to 145 I just got 3 hrs on this motor just hate to have to pull the heads back off but maybe the safest thing to do

Aces and VP. I've used both in 185 PSI motors and they work fine.

Lots of mix ratio charts and DIY octane booster formula's on line. Google is your friend.

If you get bored, 4 guys with supercharged coyotes tested aces iv and the “p” version and reported. Supercharged coyotes are 11-12/1 compression so when boosted to 10-14 psi need all the octane they can get. The coyote knock control system is extremely sensitive and incorporates per-cylinder knock retard and advance, so is VERY good at sensing changes in octane. The bottom line is that all versions of aces did zero to increase octane in 4 different cars. Boostane and octanium did have measurable improvements. The active ingredient is MMT.
