Do you have/know of any great buys from a Widow, Auction, Barn Find or other source?
These two guys (they look like brother to me), found via an auction, bought and repaired a Porsche Boxer really cheap.
A lemon that really was lemonade, that was just waiting for the fortunate buyer.

It's always a risky proposition to do what they do. Sooner or later ya gonna buy something that bites ya in da booty.

They better flip that Porsche before the IMS bearing goes out.
I bought my numbers matching '72 911S from an estate sale.

A good 20 years ago he sold me a 280 block and for some stupid reason ( to fit a class I wanted to run) I had him pull the reciprocating mass out of a 300 install new single ring pistons and he was to send my perfect pistons out to be top pined and left him a OMV gold racing flywheel because he said he had someone to buy it...
Never saw my pistons again or the money from the flywheel, He said it was his self imposed tip, He's a great smart outboard guy just can't help him self, thief, should get into politics, not having a conscience makes the job easer that's why most of them are lawyers, not fair to shade the whole profession, but criminal attorneys don't care who you injured that's not their job, early in my brother's career he got a kid off that confessed to rape and murder to a professional FBI agent that was brought in to break the kid and it worked and got a confession but my brother got it thrown out because of the Miranda decision, after that he would not take rape cases because he had new baby girl and felt guilt, had a act of contrition, but other wise he would defend any other type of criminal, It's his job.We have invented the world; WE see

Bill Gohr sounds like a lefty. Never heard of him before, but will steer clear for that reason.

After Hurricane Andrew, (I was working for Paigo Brothers.... boats and travel trailers), my boss went to the auctions and bought up the damaged travel trailers for $5 each. We had a Haitian dude that stripped them all down and got all the good stuff out of them to sell. Our showroom was filled with everything camping you could imagine (used). We were in a nice (cough cough) neighborhood and everyone would come and buy the dishes, silverware, bedding, clothes... you name it. The frames would get a couple sheets of plywood and we sold them all day long for $400 each.... $600 for the ones 20' or longer. The aluminum siding went to the scrapper. We'd get good A/c's, refrigerators, heaters, stoves a couple generators..... One Airstream came in, 30', had rolled down the street in the storm. Took two lanes of traffic to get it to the yard. I think he paid $30 for it. While digging through it, we found about $160 stuffed in the pockets of the clothes.

I found a v21 in a barn in south Georgia. It was advertised on CL as speed boat for sale.

I did find my stoker in Jersey on Craigslist advertised as a ski boat, complete clean boat and nice trailer with a 225 for 6500.00, I did a bunch of stuff to it but it was pretty close to turn key for 6500. My best buy was a nice 65 mustang CS/GT, body work was done by Stevie Wonder but looked great from 5 feet away, 3500 since it would not shift, i had to have the transmission rebuilt but it was cheap and it was a fun car to drive. Friend owns the shop so it was pretty inexpensive to fix.

I picked this up for a fair price and ended up selling it to one of my brothers for a nice profit but at a price he could make some profit as well, if he ever sells it. I think he's going to give it to his son that plays guitar.
This is a 1989 Les Paul Standard "CMT"-curly maple top. Gibson made 600 of these for Sam Ash Music in the mid to late 80's. One thing that was unique to Gibson in this time period is they came with pickups designed by Bill Lawrence and called "The Original". The back of the pickup looks like a circuit board.
Another thing that is kinda "rare" about this particular Les Paul is the pickguard was never installed and is in the case, with all the hardware to mount it.
