Any idea what this is off of 3 ltr

So I have a 20 mid Looks like a 3 ltr but it diffrent from my 3 ltr 250 adapter Also water tube is smaller?? I wanted to swap the can and use my adapter but it will not fit? Any idea what this adapter could be from thanks

That is a 1995 first design adapter and inner can. It can be made to fit but they are really not desirable. The plate tends to crack easily and they would fill up with little rocks , sand and seashells in that area where someone installed those screens. When they plug up , it cut off the cooling water to the carrier bearing and tended to cook the prop shaft seals.

They also changed to routing of the water feed channel on the late model plate/tuner.

The green 27-830 is early.

The grey Victor/Reinz 27-831 fits the late model.
