I have seen this picture before. I think it is pretty old. Probably from before WWII.

WORLD”S FIRST 4-CYLINDER, TWO-CYCLE OUTBOARD - In 1928, after 6-years of experimentation and development, Ole introduced the Super ELTO Quad. At 18hp, the 4-cylinder QUAD could push racing hydroplanes to over 45 mph. Quite fast for the time when a typical top speed for autos would have been 60 mph. The ELTO Quad later became the Evinrude 4-60 racing engine and that became the WWII Evinrude ‘Storm Boat Motor’. Modified from 60 to 50 horsepower and from 6000 rpm to 5000 rpm, the military version featured a bipod that allowed it to be placed in the middle of special Storm Boats that could carry eight soldiers at planning speeds.
