    Light Weight Jackplate

Im looking to shed a few pounds from my STV this winter and looking to replace my current jackplate that weighs close to 40lbs (3'' Setback Slidemaster). I need to run a plate thats around 3-5'' setback and rated for 300hp/550lb motor. I see Vance makes a 4'' Plate that weighs 28lbs and T-H Marine also has a 4'' that's 32lbs. Anyone make a plate that's lighter than any of those?

Shaun Torrente racing makes their version of a light weight plate but I believe is a little heavier that what you are looking for depending on the set back.

That Bob's 4 in 1 plate is hard to beat for the weight, versatility and price.

I am also looking at the Hydrodynamics 4" SB E\Z Lift. Has a nice lightweight design and adjustable from the top.

Great suggestions guys thank you! I am going to contact Hydrodynamics about that 4'' E/Z lift plate. Looks pretty lightweight but has no HP rating or weight listed.

Here’s a nice 4” STR Ultralite X-Act bracket that Shaun Torrente made for me, but then I stupidly realized after the fact it couldn’t work on my STV, since my transom is cut for a 12” mid and the 12” swivel bracket has a different bolt pattern.
The Bob’s and Hydrodynamics are good quality and value, but Shaun’s stuff is top shelf.
He may still have it in stock, so it wouldn’t hurt to consider it as an option.

    That's an awesome looking jackplate.
If I knew it was going to last this long I would have taken better care of it.
