Jperog
I was doing some research a few days ago and I came across a thread about a 21' Daytona. You said in the thread that at one time you had a 21 with twin, 15" 280's! Any pics?

"Sorry man, I don't have any pics". Didn't mean to bother you on the board as I tried to leave you a message but your mailbox was full.
Guess I'm not in the click...

I got that boat back 5 times! Eventually changed it to a single 300XS. The last qwner decided he was invincible and decided to stuff it, sunk it, and it was declared a total loss. It then got sold at an insurance auction.

That's CRAZY 5 times!
Why did people keep selling it?
Years ago a ex coke dealer ( has been dead for years OD owned a Limo company) had a Eliminator with three 260s
was a cool looking boat but was not that fast.We have invented the world; WE see

I absolutely love mine (Eliminator not Liberator) as I think it handles great. As long as you are conscious of a little more weight in the rear, it's great. If you ride mx at any level, I liken it to wheel tapping every third whoop! The one thing it is horrible at.....gas mileage!!! It's horrible, and it really limits your range.

It kept getting traded or people would just want to sell it and call me. Twin 2.5's just sucked the gas (1.5 mpg) and just had issues. The twin small boats are just hard to sell. People don't want to deal with all the issues, deal with the fuel cost or lack of range due to fuel consumption.

...what size were the fuel tanks on a twin? and how much of that capacity was usable?

My twin purple flamed boat had twin 22 gallon tanks. I could run it down to the last gallon. Went on a run one day and used a GPS. First motor ran out at 65 miles, got to the ramp on one motor which was another mile, came off plane, and the 2nd motor died. 66 miles on 42 gallons! These were my two personal boats. Yellow one had modified 260's.
