fiberglass repair
Probably a dumb question but I can't find an answer anywhere. The mat is showing through on a canoe I glassed. Can it somehow be covered and hidden or do I have to sand off the glass and start over?

Sand it down with some 120 grit paper, clean with acetone and brush, spray or squeegee on some gellcote with wax additive in it so it will cure tack free. It's very easy. If the glass was left un covered the uv rays prob. ate some of the resin from the surface. As long as it's still solid, just cover it.
