225 Promax Offshore Mids or Bass Mids?
I am picking up two 225 Promax Motors with Smoothback 20" Offshore Mids.
I have 2-25" Bass Mids presently on my hull (27' Kryptonite Center Console)
I have Marine machine side ram steering on each of the 25" Bass Mids
Lets leave the gear cases out of this for now
Q1-Will the wing plates and tie bar that I presently have on my 25" bass mids be able to be used on the 20" offshore smoothback mids?
Q2- If I use the offshore mids, I need to buy 5" extensions. Am I ok doing that with the 20"offshore mids?
I do run the boat pretty hard and do go offshore with it.
Q3- Should I just leave the 25" Mids and put the 225 Power heads on them?
Boat ran steady 70 mph with T-Top. T-Top is coming off and hoping to see close to 80 with the new powerheads
Thanks, Mike

I agree with Tommy above but keep in mind the motors are from warmer waters which are easier to deal with having 1pc plates. Colder water fro simplicity stick with 2pc plates, stock cooling.
Q1 Yes, I suspect you have 2pc plates on the 200's.
Q2 Yes, no problem. BTW, O/S cans will only be louder not better or faster especially if all your mounts uppers & lowers are solid and tight.
Q3 Yes, and if the exhaust ports are small from the 200's trace a HPerf gaskets and open them up to match the 225PM ports carefully.
Also again run the stock cooling with stats and poppet in these waters and stick with the side steering.
IMPO above would be ideal, safe and user friendly setup for a 80mph run hard boat.
