Flat bottom Allison information

I am 66 now and I just found my first boat that I bought when I was 15. It is a 4 seater Allison. the seats are molded in and the bottom is basically flat. No step pads. The boat is in rough shape but not beyond restoration, I think. I don't see any data plate or any ID at all except for the word Allison molded into the dash. It still has the same 100hp mercury on it that I had as a kid. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this type old Allison. I will be calling the Allison factory also to see what they say. Any comment or info is appreciated. Thanks!!

I don't see a motor... did you post the correct picture?

Correct pic. During the dig out, we had to remove the motor as the transom is rotten where the jack plate was located and will be replaced. The boat was originally black and white. Someone has painted over parts of it. I am open for any renovate tips!

I would love to stumble into something like that. Strip it to the bones and give it it's due. You will never regret it.

Here is the motor. The data plate on it is missing. Is there any other way to get a year model of it?

You have got yourself a big job. It is easy to build a new one but it is real hard to restore an old one. I hope you can see it through. That boat is a real piece of history.

The motor is a 1964......ya can tell by the solid lower pan.....lower shock mount covers were round on 1962.....not sure of 1963......Not bad motors....but most people want to get 99 cid 135 and such.

If ya need parts or info for the old motor I can help. I have Short exhaust housings for that motor......Then you can get rid of the jack up...

Yes, I am interested in the short housing. As a kid, it was more economical for me to put on a jack plate instead of buying a short shaft. Now it looks like the failure of the transom was due to the stress from the jack plate.
