Musk: Electric Cars Will Require a Lot More Electric Power Than We Currently Have
Like some of us with a brain have been saying. 2+2 is still 4.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says we’ll need more electricity to power cars like his. A lot more.
Besides, anyone you see driving an EV, ask them if they pay a highway tax like we do when we buy fuel.

No problem. Just provide a energy generating treadmill with each car sold. Walk/run to make your own power. People would be willing to do that right? Since it's being green and that's what it's all about.

Well, then there would be no need for the car and many would lose their jobs. We gotta soak these greenies for all we can. Heck, go to any gym and you can see the ocd people (mostly wemoan) going crazy on the treadmills. They like the abuse.

The electric grid is nowhere near ready for mass production of electric cars, that is 100 billion dollars worth the work down the road. As for road tax, get ready for odometer tax. They been working on that for quite a while. NJ already has 5 billion invested in the grid and it is not 20% there yet. 50 years of neglect is going to be expensive.

What the hell good is a solar roof when most charging will take place at night CUDA? Maybe everyone would have to have battery storage too so you can transfer power from one batt to the other? I can easily see someone going 100K+ deep into debt just to charge the 60K+ energizer buggy. Then with lithium life span being a nominal 10yrs (sometimes much less) you don't only have to replace your car but also your solar battery? That doesn't seem realistic since every household in America is 27% reliant on the government according to a previous liberal propaganda report. At some point the bank will laugh you out the door when you come asking for more money so you can charge your car to get to work to pay them back.

i think all of this electric car is all its all about a bunch of other people ripping us off in another way.... now with batteries. now if the world wasnt so stupid greedy...we'd all have hydrogen cars....they already exist...their just not safe because a few people are making billions of dollars off lake water...going into your water tank....its all the entire world would collaspe without oil right now and the bean head in the white house is about to make it happen...its such a complex problem there isnt a cure...so drive it like you stole it and put another engine on the back so we can use all the gas up before we die...that makes life worth living and guzzle down a few more beers with that precious gasoline and rip it. yesterdays gone just think what you could have done...tomarrows lookin more like ever that your never going to get it. leave the snowflakes suckin up your exaust fumes.
not so fast snowflakes...you cant save the planet...
No, electric cars they are not zero emissions vehicles. We have seen that although they do not emit CO2 while being driven, they might do it in 3 other stages: during manufacturing, energy production and at the end of their life cycle. In the first case, the need for mining activities to extract the rare earth metals that are used in batteries is very energy consuming and polluting.Last edited by SUNKIST; 03-05-2021 at 07:15 AM.

[QUOTE=CUDA;3269306]Well yes you have to get a powerwall when you get solar
Thats the furthest from the truth you can get. I manage over 2MW of combined solar arrays without a single battery. Do you even know how a PV system works or are you just posting chit you see on the web?"The character of a man can be easily judged by how he treats those who can do nothing for him"

So since I'm going on SS that makes me reliant on the government?
Well I would have done much, much better in a 401k and if you don't make it to 66 how come that money is not passed on to the wife or children ? It's money paid in and no credit ?
