We put a deposit down the on a new 4 stroke triple yamaha last week. The super jet has been completely redesigned with an adjustable handle pole and new power plant. I used to love riding my 550 with a PJS reed cylinder and total loss Ign. but it was a pain for noise with the loud water box and chasing the jetting. Then the 750s showed up and they were great "I didn't care for the 650 era". When I moved to FL., I was a typical guy from up North and wanted nothing to do with Sharks and or Gators so I dumped all of my stand ups. Now we have a place in at LOTO and I saw a promotional video at the dealer up there. It will be here in March and I am looking forward to everyone using it.

I've been wanting to try a stand up for years! Those new ones look like they're a lot easier to ride.

They are much more refined and all it takes is couple of buoys set 2 or 3 hundred feet apart to make it a great challenge, workout, improve your riding, and keeps you out of boat traffic. I had six of them at my house in Michigan and we always had buoys marking out a small course (15 years ago you could get used ones for 2 grand or less) throw an impeller, ride plate, intake grate, handlebars and quick turn plate on them & you were ready to chase the leader. It was big fun teaching people how to ride "wear a helmet if you get 3 or more guys running a course together".

Steve Laham "Butchs Jet Ski" in Grand Rapids Mi was into it bigger then anyone and was a major help/influence in my stand up days. He was a massive promoter with passion and sponsored all kinds of group rides and races. He almost single handedly brought standups to the mainstream. They had everything in stock and pioneered many of the aftermarket parts before PJS and others came into play. Steve eventually went to work for BRP Corporate after being the largest sea-doo dealer in the world for 10 years consecutive and I think he is a national sales manager or something for them now.

I would have given anything to have one of these 20 years ago-"launch control, 100+ h.p. twins" listen to how radical the motors have gotten in recent years "5 minute mark" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LpBHSNHewo

i still have all three of my Honda F12X 'skis [turbocharged] but I seldom ever ride them due to all of the worn out joints in my hands and wrists from:
    1. Motocross
    2. Hurricane wave jumping
    3. Competition water skiing
    4. Carrying double Nimrod 100 CF tanks through the woods to remote cave entrances
    5. Aerobatic Flying
    6. Working for my Dad's company as a Teen.

I was supposed to have all of the hands/wrist joints replaced with implants but my surgery got cancelled due to an unrelated health problem.

I'm building a pwc. its about 92% done. spent half the summer waiting for new parts. now its frozen outside so next spring it will be. There is nothing under the hood that isn't modified or brand new. I'm hoping for close to 80mph. It started out as a Seadoo XPDI 951 DI front mounted engine. Now it has a built 1051 DI engine from SES. Riva racing exhaust and relocated outlet. SS impeller, rebuilt gear boxes, shims, needle bearings, the whole works. I even debadged it added a carbon fiber seat a worx grate, flashed ECU, changed this, altered that. Funny the hardest thing to do was finding the 800 feet of legal fuel, water and oil lines of various sizes because when I get pulled over and they pop the hood there better be marine grade lines in there or your looking at some trouble.

If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

everything inside looks custom, maybe you should do this type of work on the side for folks wanting more speed?
