...that original 84- part number for your year V-6 is no longer available & hasn't been for decades. it was replaced by a keyswitch harness, that will of course work, just mildly different. the difference being, that in 1984, when the power trim became intregal within the clamp bracket, the trim pump harness became an added on part of the keyswitch harness. the engine harness part was the same though, so it can be used. prior to 84ish, the trim systems trim pump was in the bilge, and a separate trim pump harness was purchased & used. so the pre-84 keyswitch harness's simply did not have the added-on trim harness wiring attached to them. no big deal really. what length keyswitch harness do you need, the 15', the 20', or a 25'? believe it or not, i think i might have a new old stock pre '84 keyswitch harness. don't recall what length. have to look. i might be wrong, but i don't even think the newer part number harnesses are available any more.

84-816626A is the number, add 15, 20, or 25 to the end for length.

...if that part number is still good, don't order the dash 25 one, unless you want to pay for a pair of them...as thats the way all the 25's come...in a pair, for twin installs. its been a while, maybe things have changed.
