It had 2 stage reeds in it. And they looked all good but while its down mite as well put new ones in it. James cut me some. While lapping the cage blocks with 400gt I noticed 1 cage had a big casting flaw in it. Between w peddles. I went to 180gt on a sheet of glass and took a good lil while to get that chunk gone. Wouldn't have ever seen it without removing the reeds and lappingvem.... pics are probly out of order bit ya get the gist of what's going on here.

It's interesting to see the port layout on this motor. I'm working on porting a 3.3L HPDI motor. That is completely archaic in terms of port layout. (2 transfers and a single boost)
Do you have anymore info on the factory port layouts of your motor or similar motors?

Got the ACU mounted my own special way.. without using a ECM bracket.. and fired it up for the 1sr time yesterday. Lil high rpms on the hose. Today I messed with the slide linkage and butterfly linkage and timming linkage and advance linkage and cable linkage and foot and elbow and thumb linkages and finally got the idle down to where I want it. Lots and lots of screws to coordinate to get all this in sync. Cranked the fuel psi back down to 39-40# running. It's idling rite now as I sip on my jack and cherry coke.

Enjoyed the thread, in process of VST delete on my fresh JSRE Promax. Even though you changed so much, like most of us I'll be interested to see what your seat of pants dyno says about the performance now. I should of got a slide intake when I had the motor built, now in our new circumstances I can't see the money coming free. I'd love to get up that way to run with some of ya all. Where is most of your running done?
