    Water Pump Tube Seal/Connector

I’m trying to find a replacement seal for the 3/4” water tube on my setup. I’m using a modified XR6 lower unit and the tube I have has a rubber or plastic - it’s so old I can’t tell which - seal on the lower end that fits right over the water pump snout. The seal is damaged and old (at least late 90s), so I need to replace it, but I have no idea whether it’s a mercury part (I certainly can’t find any listing for it) or something custom that was rigged up by the original builder. The middle picture below shows it installed on the original JC modded XR6 lower unit that it came off of.
Any ideas on where I can find one of these?

A new water pump kit will include the lower rubber seal that you are describing. There is another seal that goes up top in your adaptor plate at the other end of the tube. Pretty sure you have to yank the powerhead to replace it.

The plastic sleeve is an assembly aid and also comes in a new water pump kit. If the water pump is more than 2 years old, it's time for a new one.

Thanks. I have all of that already, and everything is disassembled already. I have enough parts to rebuild the water pump (a couple of times) and I will do that. But I can’t find any listing for that sleeve.
I’m in the process of putting it all together now, hence my need for that .

...its called a water pump "guide tube". believe it or not, having that unimportant looking guide tube & the rubber grommet in the top of the water pump housing in good condition, preferably both new, does affect your water pressure...
