Just bought another 4 , exactly the same, extended 4". Big Square body Sub HD K20. They changed the valving, consolidated a couple lines of application. Turned them into minivan shocks. Cleaned and dressed the old rears and hung them back on. They are better in and out than the new ones, drove like a vomit ride with the new ones. Front almost like the previous but not quite.
Called them prior to ordering, they swore they didn't change a thing, called them back and let them know after I put the old ones back on. Nothing stays the same in this age of profit taking greed.

My last four pick-up trucks I took the rear leaf packs off and to Florida Spring to just re-arch the rears, you have to add a leveling kit to the front to get larger tires on Dodges, the 2500's are stiff enough, but I add Timbren rubber springs in the rear because my chippers have 2,000 tongue weight, I once tried them on the front but if you went over a speed bump you about hit your head on the roof, I would only recommend them if someone plowed snow with that extra weight up front.

I bought a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in 2008. I took the Rubicon model cause of the goodies that came with it, like the lockers and the anti sway bar disconnect. I haven't done much to it except for a mild lift and 35" BF Goodrich mud terrains. It's been good to me for 12 years now. The torque converter was replaced at 60,000 miles, other than that, light bulbs, brake pads, 2 brake calipers

I have 4 leaf front, 10 in rear , arched up , rears are over 3800lb load per stack, stopped counting after 8 .

Best is load lb rating at psi, that's the real world.
As mentioned above, same size tire, both 8 ply 5 tread + 3 sidewall. One has a E rating with 3200lb at 60+psi, the other better tire has 3400+lb at only 45lb but is rated D and has many other advantages over the E comparison rated tire.
Ya , I always look at my plys , I don't assume the ply because the letter rating , I've been a big fan of mud terrain tires and only tires I run on all my trucks for last 20 yrs,

Well been little while since we got the jeep , I've put it in some places I'd never thought it go for sure , but I been working on it along the way , and yet still so much to do suspension wise it's now got lots and lots of goodys in suspension and drive train also lockers , 37 13.50s , 4in lift , 4.88 gears, etc. It's technically the wife's, so she named it , which I rekon it works
