Yes, he is a good kid Straight A student in Advanced Cambridge classes in High School. We were looking to find one to build and this one was exactly everything we wanted, not one thing to change. 6 inch lift, slip yoke elem, 2 ten inch subs with amp., front and rear aftermarket bumpers, 74k miles, automatic, Rocky Mountain edition with Dana 44 rear end, Red, we priced everything separately and this was actually cheaper than if we found a stock one and built it up. No mudding just easy trail riding and street cruising until he can pay to fix what he breaks

Always had Jeeps up till about 2 years ago. CJ5, several CJ7s, J20 (3/4 ton truck), and a Grand Cherokee. Waiting for the opportunity to acquire the next one. J20 and the last CJ7 were total ground up rebuilds. Any Jeep you buy around here will be eaten up by rust. J20 rebuild went to a restoration guy for the body work on the cab. Bought a southern bed, tailgate, and grill. Dropped in a 360 with a 4 speed with granny low. CJ7 was purchased in pieces. Body trash and frame rusted in two. Threw body in garbage and completely rebuilt frame. Bought a 1 piece fiberglass body with a tilt front end. Put in a warmed up 304 with a 400 turbo and Quadratrac.
You want to be careful how much you trust the roll bars. If I remember correctly (highly unlikely at this age) they made 2 different style roll bars for the CJ7 neither of which I would trust. Mine was built and mounted in such a way as you could not tell it was modified and attached directly to the frame. Awesome vehicles a lots of fun.

Welp. Just bought a 3.5in rock krawler lift , which I've been reading for days , and seem to be bout top of the line , it was over double the rough country lift , but reviews and stuff r great and its upgradeable if wanna go to 37s from 35s. Yep just another toy in my eyes and wife loves to 4wheel but wants me leave it alone. I said u just gotta hop a little when u get in lol

Now you got to change gears front and rear $ takes torque for those tall tires
Back in 1989 I put a 302 in a Ranger 4x4, 9 inch disk brake rear end from a Lincoln, roller cam fuel injection... to pull my stump grinder around
Put on a set of Dunlop Mud tires, while pulling a 4,000lb stump grinder shorty afterward I hit the brakes in the rain and it felt like I was on ice, I slid through a red light, drove
back to the tire shop and worked out a deal on another set of tires, be careful what you buy.We have invented the world; WE see

All depends on what your final goal is don't go changing gears till you know what you want in the end..
And yea watch tires can be slick as hell awesome in deep mud BUT.. I had a built f-100 years ago 8" lift 40" super swampers on 15" rims motor etc..
Was driving EAST on sunrise highway (for LI people) it was drizzling for 10 minutes or so someone cut me off and I cut the wheel to keep from hitting him those super swamper mud tires...the truck spun out and did 3 360* s
And 180..I know the 180 because I was now traveling in the west bound lane decided to just calming keep going as I just happened to see a cop.pull in so..
And I WAS NOT speeding was only doing 40-45mph..LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

Yeah the swamper boggers aren't the best in certain highway situations.
You need two sets of tires wheels. Interco has what you need to get the sippyhole or rocks done and day to day big meats for just cruising.
I just run BFG KO2 but say the previous design KO was superior. Just don't go looking to get stuck.Last edited by FMP; 11-28-2020 at 10:37 AM.

I've been using Toyo's made in America
I'll never get a wide tire again for street driving
Those wide tires can push a wall of water forward, over the the windshield, Hydroplane , better hold tight a deep puddle can ripe the wheel out of your hands
Down here you can get 2 inches In a three hour afternoon storm, deep puddles appear quick.
I sold my 2005 Ram diesel 4x4 to a guy that just totaled the same truck hitting a tree because of wide tires hydroplaning. We have invented the world; WE see

It's all in siping and directions to clear the water. 12.5" I've run for decades but on heavier vehicle.
If the tires don't have the capabilities to lose the water out and the tread depth it doesn't matter then you'll tend to float.
As for the E load, two generations of the same tire , same size. KO had 3400 lb + rating with D , new K02 has 3200lb rating and E and requires 15+ more psi to achieve it. Don't just look at those E rating and believe it's a 10 ply , it's only a comparison rating, you'll have to read the sidewall for the actual ply count and construction.
The KO2 also have a few more setbacks in quality and performance to the previous K0 , if you didn't run the old ones you'd believe all the marketing hype until they bring back the quality into a new maybe K02+ or KO3 .Last edited by FMP; 11-28-2020 at 10:36 AM.

I have a set of General all terrain AT-2 36'' tires on my 4x4 F250. Wet street traction is great and they do ok in the dirt as long as it is too not wet. Like anything when it's gumbo nothing beats a bogger or ground hawg, super swamper tire. General also has an X-3 mudder that goes all the way up to a 37 dia x17 wheel. For cheep tires the patagonia's are good for off road. BFG's are now junk....

When they did the KO2, they lost 1/8" depth , lost hight, lost the nice stand-up profile rim edge guard with serrated pattern, lost load , needed more psi , called it a E , lost contact outside lug with every other one cupped at shoulder - does nothing to help snow traction, and cut themselves a Christmas bonus in the process, and the old KO rides nicer , got 70k + miles on the old design and they claim the newer rubber better harder less ware - not what makes a snow designation approved tire better at -20. The MT still has the quality.
Falkin Wildpeak AT3W 20/32" depth , other right at the top in performance and quality.Last edited by FMP; 11-28-2020 at 10:42 AM. Reason: TKO pre coffee
