Nice Jeep!! Been a long time since I was into four wheelin. Just do not have the energy anymore. Most of my off-roading now is hauling equipment through the mud, or snow-plowing.

The only real built 4x4 I ever had was an '82 Ram Charger. Thing was a tank. 318 that just pulled, and pulled, and pulled. It would bury the speedo at 85 and just kept going. Had a 4" suspension with 35" BFG's. Never did any real muddin with it, but had it off road a bunch of times.

We don't do a lot muddin now days , just little mud not deep holes, I blew up a brand new 06 Silverado with 6k miles on it in deep deep mud holes , also 2 4wheelers blew up , 1 3 wheeler, and couple dirt bikes. Mud kills, quick. So I try stick with climbing and maybe just enuff mud to get dirty , im havin a good time with the wife's jeep and she wants me leave it alone lmao. Ooooo but its gettin a lift and 35s next week , she's lucky im not goin to 37s ha. My buddy had a ram charger and that sob just kept goin , yes they did great

Needs real good harness's on the seats and a strong roll cage if you lift it hi and bolt on some tall tires. Jeeps like to roll over.

I'm getting one to pull behind the motor home, don't think I'm going to get the retro model unless I find a smoking deal, they do hold there price.

I'm more into creature comforts than 4 wheeling, I just like the idea of hooking it up put in neutral and go, I've owned 4x4s for 40 years but never took one off road to play

$$$ used ATVs or my RZR for that.

My brother just got a new Wrangler, he got the 2.0 Turbo and loves it. Great low end torque and excellent MPG. Myself I would think the 3.6 would be best, and next year they are putting a Hemi in them. Way cool but crazy money.

Yeah, 400+hp in a freaking jeep makes no sense at all. The straight 6 is the best engine there ever was in a jeep. They are in a head to head war with the Bronco.

I have had 2 wranglers, they are very capable off road as is stock straight off the dealer lot. I see a new one with the srt 392 being built, cool but I see it as dangerous. There is a park in Pa., called Rausch Creek, they will teach anyone how to off road from mud to rock crawl. Fun thing to do in a jeep or any 4x4. I currently have a 4runner with a 3inch lift and decent under armor, the jeeps are just a little small for all the Crap I cart around.
