It's a very sexy boat....With boat design, it is all about proportions. And Tuff's got it right. But, you look at it and see a Cigarette, Magnum, Pantera, Fountain, Superboat, etc. They all share the same proportions. And the same basic bottom with different variations. It's a winning formula...

Yeah but what about the action area, Da Pad...

These guys are known for their top speed capacity and lightweight builds

and as we all know the only thing touching the water at top end is the last two feet

I was going to stop by there shop at Christmas time but because of C19 we are not allowed into Canada, I'm from the Niagara Falls area

In my back yard I have a 26 Sleekcraft upside down a project I quit working on years ago, I installed a 9 inch flat pad but plan on modified it ...

I use to be friends with Bruce Nescher the original owner of Sleekcraft, he liked a pad with a gull wing design, on the SST MVP race boats he made

lower in the center then raised toward the sides, the Idea was to gain lift, on the Cuda boats we did 11 3/4 flat, which is fast but stiff on a light boat.

    RBT where are you

Look at a Venom bottom cuda. It's what I would copy on a hull if I were to build one from scratch.

A 28' Allison with the same bottom rigged with two 300XS engines would be very cool.

I never saw a 28 Allison, got any pictures?

I have beat many Allison's at the drags, I don't like hookie boats I had one, I've seen many hook by the best of drivers like Glenn Reynolds, Doc Tripp...

A 27 ft boat need a wider pad, my retirement project I'll never retire to boring .

On my personal list of the sexiest boats ever built, the Tuff 24 ties with the Talon 22 right on top of the list.

Fastest V bottom I know of, without steps, they claim 116 mph with a 300hp outboard

Not bad for a almost 25 ft boat 24'9"

    I think there’s one running close to 118 with a DBR 300.
If I have time this winter I’m going to work the bottom on a Challenger 21 to match the 24 Tuff....
    see what happens.....

...the tuff 24 is built lighter than previous v-bottoms. its also what we call a small 24, in the boat manufacturing business. its a narrow beam performance boat with a straight forward bottom design that includes a traditional small width pad with the lifting strakes located where they need to be, for additional lift. the transoms trailing edge(s) design & drive location setback also determines the boats overall angle of attack & attitude of performance. but again, the biggest advantage the tuff boats have, that improve they're performance as much as the bottoms design & low profile deck & small frontal break, over other boats that have been built in the past, are its weight advantage. most all performance boat builders in the past don't know how to build a light but strong boat, so they have'nt. i've built many lightweight national & world champion boats for decades, that never break, starting in about 1980. i know the materials & the processes. i know what he's got here & why his boats work the way they do.
