So you added 2” spacers to the 8” plate but it didn’t like it? So definitely 6” or 8” sounds better. Have you had experience between 6” and 8” on that boat?

I had a 6” plate on mine and it flew beautifully.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
