    Torque master

    I have a guy tryin get rid of a torque master, says has fresh seals etc, can anyone tell by looking at this pic?Click image for larger version.

    2.5 Torquemaster with intake scoops. pretty much same internals as a Sportmaster less the lower driveshaft bearing.

    Yes, in most cases a properly coned TM is faster than a stock Sporty.

    Well its on its way here. Prob b few days or so ill run it 1st then send it off for cone, little trading for it, also a promax divider for 100$ gettin hard find deals like this anymore a guy in Alabama been hoarding 2.5 stuff a long time i rekon

    Does anyone know what gear ratios they came with ? Idk but im guessing it mite b a gen 1? Did they have 1.87 or will it be the 1.75?

    1.87:1 was pretty common, think the 150PM could be had with 2:1.

    Depending on the boat but yes in alot of cases. Not sure bout new stuff , but being the hull is main factor , prob same just depending on hull

    The torque master on my 3.0 had water inlets like a standard gear case but also had water in lets on the bullett. There was a torque tab on the skeg. My new 200 four stroke xs is pretty much set up the same way. The gear ratio is 1.87 I honestly don't ever recall seeing a torque master for a 2.5 but i've been wrong before

    2.5 torqmaster came out in 1994 on all pmaxs 1.87 for 200 and 225 2.1 for the 150 (unless you got some thing special order) Dave is hitting 100% as of now ive coned quite a few of these cases and they are my favorite case over all the others (yes including sporty) my coned lu is a tm i coned and i have not touched the filler in 4 years i recently re-primed my case but its was strictly for the bling no paint just primer somthin bout water friction
