As far as parts go, they are already having shortages and discontinued certain things. My ETEC business is booming: No injectors for sale = more business for me.

Yea i lent a friend a flywheel while he waited for his new one to come in, A quick coat of epoxy paint on the magnets would have solved all those issues...

I dont understand the animosity here. I have been a loyal customer also and still will be for other BRP products. Funny the "bean counter" comments. It was as much in house as it was at corporate. Go ahead and stock up on your parts if that makes you feel better. I'm not worried about it.

Not that many here care, but DOO stock is floating near all time highs and just beat its projected earnings.

The Canadian lawsuit couldn't have hurt things either.

Just BAD management They never ask the dealers for any input. let warranty problems snow ball for ever. sold off the facility and manufacture of injectors and computers to Synerject part of Orbital in bed with Mercury in 2006. Synerject has now been sold. Put G1 motors out of production that where selling so you had to sell G2s with over priced digital dash. Built to many kinds of motors in same HP range. Told us starboard starboard was the future then built G2 150-200 on same old plate form. I love the product JUST WISH THEY HAD NOT LET THE ENGINERING Department Run Wild. NO mater what people think they needed someone like Roc Lambert who was at least interested in the product not just a paycheck. Ghostdrive motor in a can bad idea the new larger saildrive.

    Animosity ....
    Just keepin it real ..

Heads I win , Tails you lose ..
Does it really matter if it was the paper pushers or the work force , that weighed the most . Pointing fingers as your sinking .. adds no buoyancy.

    Brand loyalty ...
I sure hope its a consumer 15" 300R and not a racing ROS. I'll be the first to order if its a consumer model.

I think I found the parts + tech center ... (see parts dept .. tools ) and of course the sign in the top L.H. corner ..

17 million .. cheap considering that it comes with drag strip . Including , Christmas tree and TSI super system . There is also a modified oval . Plenty of spare corner markers on location .. to go from small bull ring to offshore events ...

Just what somebody said at the sale... The bldg in the pic has a cool curved wood truss roof, looks like an old aircraft hangar.

The selling price for the test center property was $14,750000.00
BRP purchased the property in 2002 for $120,000...

    A nice profit of $14,630000.00

    (PS..the asking price was 17M)

    ===================================================================================

Real estate taxes for the test center property was $87,327.00 for last year.
If you take that number X 18.. (over pay) you end up with $1,571886.00

I dont think you can deduct real estate tax from capital gains in Florida.

The test center is probable the best deal BRP have ever done in the marine business.
I wish I had purchased the property for $120000 year 2002.

At that time I owned a very nice 2 acre water front property on Alice Street..with a view over the test center.

After we cleared this 2 acre waterfront lot I sold it.

Chaz, as you already posted, I said I have been a loyal customer, and will continue to be FOR OTHER BRP products. (Snowmobiles). Now that they don't make outboards anymore leaves me no choice but to go elsewhere, cause I like new stuff. I could never purchase the G2 stuff as the mid/gearcase isn't conducive for high speed applications, as im sure you know. I have a big Supercharged Verado on my Tritoon and would love a couple 15" 300R's on my go fast boats. It is what it is. Its a shame, but as mentioned, engineering and marketing were complete failures over the past decade. Corporate should have stepped in earlier and cleaned house. Oh well. Im happy Mercury is still making big HP products. They may be pricey, but they deserve it. They got the HiPo outboard market by the balls.

Well sir, that was a nice level headed post ...

The only thing I didn't agree with is ..

They may be pricey, but they deserve it. They got the HiPo outboard market by the balls.

So because they made "the right choice" with little to no competition for over a decade ... they get to rape the public , be it either an O-ring or a whole motor ... ????
Some folks buy with their emotion, others like myself .. would rather use the facts.
Room in the world for everybody ..
