Cool Evinrude Test Center Auction, Stuart, FL

    Hi all,
I've been a long time reader but first time poster today. I was just looking through THT and stumbled upon this. I figured it may be a hidden gold mine for the OMC guys on here.
http://www.falconamerica.com/ NOV. 21st-22nd is when the auctions are going down!

I'm honestly surprised that stuff didn't all hit the scrap yard.

EDIT: I just went though all of the stuff. What a bunch of junk, I can't honestly believe Evinrude is taking the time to sort all that out and auction it off. What's a few thousand bucks to them? No wonder these guys went broke. There's no way you can pay someone to list, sort, auction a used beat to hell aluminum prop, and make money at it. An entire day of selling individual props. What a crock.

EDIT 2: "PLEASE READ: At the request of the auction company, this auction permits bids to be placed by the auctioneer, an employee of the auctioneer, or the seller or an agent on the seller's behalf. While Proxibid's Unified User Agreement prohibits this behavior, in accordance with UCC 2-328, this auction is permitted to engage in this activity by providing this clear disclosure to you, the bidder."

That sentence is from the terms of sale. Nice to know we will be bidding against Evinrude on their own junk. What a JOKE!

I didn't look completely through, but I felt as if it would be a disservice to society if I didn't say anything lol!

Did you happen to see if they had any 250ho motors?

Just left the Marine Connection and they have 300 hp e-tec laying on their floor in back.

Didnt see a price or ask about.

Being it’s not on a stand I’d guess they just got it.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Thanks it's probably out of my price range though. I figured if I could get something cheap at an auction I might be able to swing it. Just looking to get something cheap that will make my boat run faster than my 200

Were they prone to problems or just expensive? I have not heard anyone complaining about having to replace them.

BRP can be expected to sell spare parts for a long, long time to come.

I kinda had my eye on that ...

It will be worth a small fortune if we go on a Joemalla shut down ...

I'm bidding on the building ... the roll of paper missing could be a deal breaker ..

What should I bid .... on a bent up aluminum prop ..
