Cool to see the various brands winning class too.

Just saw that Royal Enfield just won their first race which I think is way cool.
Read an article about their new team and they didn’t start until after begging of season

Decades later Indian and HD at it again flat tracking! Friend mine in HS (late 60's) had a Royal Enfeild Enterceptor. I had a 650 Triumph, but that R/E was gorgeous! Pic coming..

    Gorgeous!

When they first came back from the dead they were known/seen as a cheap bike.
Their plan worked, they survived and they went racing.

Besides Indian, who else has done that recently?
    That takes corporate stones.
    Love it.
Take a risk and they will come.

BTW, the street legal Indian flat track bike is bad ass!
I want to ride one through down town New York w/the streets closed to traffic!

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Back in the 70's after (still going strong on energy) after night bar hopping, snorting coke, it was Sunday morning and sun coming up we went downtown Chicago and streets M/T, and a blast blowing exhaust sound in the "canyons of high rise buildings! Good old days!

Don't know what track this is, but kinda looks like my old haunt, Sante Fe Speedway, Illinois. Great times..

Times are way faster now but watch Ayrton Sennas out of body qualifying run at Monaco back in the day.
    Purely magical.

Was also a huge fan of F-1 bikes w/their 500cc 2 strokes before launch control, traction control etc.
The fast riders became one w/the bike.

We forget how harder the cars were to drive years ago compared to today's cars.

Start at 1:50 and watch Senna's fighting the steering wheel. The drivers today don't have to wrestle with the car like they use to.
