How about being on a hydro slide "knee board" behind a snowmobile and running along the shore cutting back and forth on to the open water (end of winter). Then I got the bright idea to do a distance cross of about 200 feet with my buddy in tow. Worked fine for me but the rooster tail freaked him out and he let go (about 15 feet deep-thank god he was a strong swimmer) helmet, jacket, bibs, boots and gloves he swam to the board and kicked his way to me with the ski rope waiting to pull him up on the ice. Then I pulled him home soaking wet for over a mile. He sat in the hot tub for 5 hours before he stopped shivering. We were 12 years old and the parents were not impressed with our actions. We were using a brand new Polaris Txl 340 that my dad bought for my mom "she rode it once I think".
