Wait a minute. I thought that Superboat stopped building boats. Are they still making stuff our in Strong Island?

...the boats in the water pic is a lot newer than 1980 Dave. those 29's or what ever they are, are only from a few short years ago. Have no idea what year. hard to keep up with sb changes. does sb still have the tooling for the 34 sportdeck & center-console version? untapped potential there, that john should have marketed years ago.

Headless, from what I have been told, your 23 and my 27 Kryptonite was built off a 21 SB hull. It was widened and made taller. At the step in the Kryp, forward, it is a 21 SB. Kurt nailed it when he built the plug. Kurt did work at SB at one time, hence the Kryptonite name. SB does now have the molds for the 27 CC but changed it to a 29 with the Euro transom. Not sure if it can be ordered without the Euro transom so boat could be rigged with twins. Not crazy about the Euro transom but I am not buying one so my opinion means nothing. I do like the built in steps to access the deck though. Love my 27 CC with twins, best riding and handling 26-30' I have ridden in or drove. It does not know its 26'

I’ve read that also. What I don’t understand, (just because of my limited knowledge of these boats and their history), but isn’t a superboat only 7’ wide? So he widened the hull and deck with the plug?
