Hi All,

I know most of you are aware that the photo gallery is currently not available. That's just temporary - it has not been removed from the site, just disabled for the time being. The reason is that the old photo gallery system on this site was very old and really needed some major updates. It was not really efficient and browsing photos needs to be quicker, especially on mobile devices.

Also, the photo gallery section was beginning to concern me as a possible security risk to the site due to its age. These days websites this large are very tempting targets for hackers and that requires me to constantly keep the security needs of the site as its highest priority. The original company that made that software has long gone out of business and we modified it a great deal over the years, but the underlying code base for it is just too old and outdated.

The gallery will return with all of its photos and videos, and more. When it does return, it will be much easier to upload your images and videos, directly from your computer or phone. The S&F as a whole is undergoing a great deal of updates to add ease-of-use features and streamline a lot of operations, such as adding images to posts, etc.

I want to always emphasize how grateful I am to all of you for your support. Without that, the site just would not exist. Not only for maintaining our servers, but the constant development required to keep the site secure.
