    141 rod mods

so when guys use the sps/arp 3/8ths head rod bolt in the 141 fishin rod , does the hole have to b drilled out and rethreaded along with clearance for head of bolt ?

Or is it just the head of bolt that needs mod and hole thread size the same?

I use a snap on 1/4 in drive socket with a little mode on tip. Holds up well. But even with that depending on rod, most still need a little clearancing to get the socket to fit nice and flush to get a good torque

Pic ain’t worth a hoot, the grindin on the end is just a taper so that it leaves some meat on socket but gives a little extra clearance near cap

Clean threads real good...... red on bolt and hole......run in and out before tighting to #......Than the weak point is ya stick a piston and things break.... but the rod bolts are not the cause of carnage.
