I don't recall any magnets in the old cases......But I was building B and D lowers......is there a hole for the magnet? Did you find a new water pump? and where?.....I have found the old pumps that have been setting for..... YEARs break the blades.....Putting in the pump/////and the stock pin is a Hassbitch......Cut a Merc 500 flat drive and it is easy than stock pin.

Ya that little pin sucks. Think I have the cam in upsidedown. Pull it back apart tomorrow. There is a hole for the magnet tween gears and mine is set with epoxy. Ain't coming out no more.

I was wrong again. Cam is fine and I did not have to tear it down again. Shifts good. Great idea on that little pin Dave. Took a few minutes and a couple attempts but ground one down to fit and it worked fine. Want to thank everyone for the help and advice so far. Now for the fuel system. Anyone with a correct tank and hose that wants to part with it please send me a pm and let me know what you need to be happy. If not available please explain the conversion I have heard mentioned. Thanks again.

It is actually a really nice tank no dents and minimal rust inside. Even the float is intact and the lens is fine
