    2.5 Blocks

DRAG - not sure what this one is for letters
    280 - OO
    260 - PP and/or LL
    245 - KK
    225 - NN
    200 - EE and/or FF
    175 - DD
    150 - BB
    150 - CC
    ...what was the 135 stamped?...

From a service manual and technical perspective...I agree on the DD proposal. This is an brilliant suggestion.

I suggest an urgent internal change order to make the identity change. Then follow up with a service bulletin with detailed close up color pictures to clarify.

lost me with those numbers.. sure someone may be able ta track 'em down maybe?.. there were no 245/carb motors built from merc with tha "big bearing".. it has a "big journal" (1 1/2") top main but not a "big bearing" (260's, 280's, drag) as to what most folks relate to.. does it have bleed bibs on tha cylinders?.. last 245 was '95 i think..

have you found tha build date?

I'm wondering if the stamp directly relates to the porting the block got as well as other characteristics already mentioned.
