FF is just one of the block stamps on a certain vintage 2.5 200 block. Below is what I think is correct, or close I think. All the FF talk is that is has better porting than the EE block. Is that what your asking about?

    2.5 Blocks

DRAG - not sure what this one is for letters
    280 - OO
    260 - PP and/or LL
    245 - KK
    225 - NN
    200 - EE and/or FF
    175 - DD
    150 - BB
    150 - CC
    1973 Viper - sold
    1978 Viking - sold
    1995 XB02

The 200 FF block gets a lot of talk these days. It has a larger exhaust chest than the other 200 horse 2.5's. The chest is more like a 225 Pro Max on an FF block. It's more coveted than honest politicians and clean hookers. It's not clear if there's any benefit as I'm unaware of any testing to confirm superior horsepower. That's the short version of why everybody is alphabet soup happy these days.

I recommend hiring a technical bunny. He's taught me everything I know and I'm MUCH smarter now. Before I hired him people told me I was really stupid. Actually they still do but now the bunny punches them and it makes me feel better.

So what's the deal with the FF blocks then? They have better porting than the EE blocks, which I get, but are guys buying them for big power blocks? Maybe what I mean is there a benefit to a FF block, vs a PP 260 block? Or is it just the better of the 2 200 blocks?

In some cases, just a little better 200 block, and in some cases it's a little not so better. It's a little like "what's the best prop".

I like the bunny, but can he explain the differences in the porting among all the blocks identified in the diagram?

    Hey Tom,

Your not alone...I was wondering the same thing. That chart does help. We just use the names of the blocks.

My wife has a large chest so I used FF for her nickname for a little bit. I showed her why I did the based on the chart above. She no Likey! I got a bitch slap so I don't do that anymore.

I look at my Mint 15" 150 inline 6 everyday now that it's off the lift and in my shop. Some drool does appear from time to time.

I looked closely at those pictures. I'm sure that's not a real rabbit. Nice life vest though
