280 coils and ECU driver blown on #6

So recently found my ECU was not fireing #6 switched coil leads and no change so suspected wireing or ECU . Inspected wireing and found nothing so sent off ECU . Problem found #6 driver was bad - luckily driver had not heated up bad and had not melted into board and was able to fix . Thanks to Dan at Simon's Performance and tech . They are still fixing ECUs and glad for that . Great company excellent communication and skillsets .
Repair was made and the conversation was about the coils - bad coil on six and at minamum replace one coil but better solution was to replace them all . So what do most on the forum do - replace one or all . #2 I have read a couple threads on coil problems , what are the facts on that story .
Just to make everyone aware when I hooked this up to DDT - i saw a history of misfires and a conversation on here about that was it's usual to see misfire history on 280 especially in long idle zones - the DDT history was cleared and did not show a misfire even when #6 was not firing with the ECM driver 6 was blown . I was surprised the DDT did not show that .

Thanks Blake - appreciate the reply . I was hoping to get a healthy discussion on why the DDT did not show the #6 not firing in the end. I can only assume that the DDT will only show if the ECM is healthy and telling the coil to fire .
Then there was the question on the coil packs - Dan from Simon's Performance tech had stated it's the coil that took down the ECM - replace one if not the entire pack of them . I was trying to get a good thorough discussion on the matter so that the next guy that comes looking for an answer . This power was a 2004 280 ROS box Any input appreciated .

Ill be honest Kelly, I'm not your guy to answer that. I've used CDS and CDS G3 but never had to use the DDT tool. That being said, I would go ahead and replace all the coils as cheap insurance.

    Hi

Coming from a Auto Electricians point of view I would replace all 6 as they are the same age
Time and time again I hear stories of replacing one coil then another problem with another coil and then it goes on
It is not uncommon for a coil to damage a ECM or igniter

I did have a coil not firing once on a 280 after a freshen up and it was a bad plug at the ECM ( Just saying )

    Cheers

    John
