I got lazy and tried to replace my poppet valve without taking the lower cowling off. The gaskets shifted when putting it back together because it was so tight in there and leaked. Got some new gaskets and learned my lesson.

My Pro Max had strange things going on with water press dropping of at 10-12psi and running warm when cruising at that rpm from new. Merc blamed it on hull shape and motor height, I called BS. #9 is a plastic washer that is flat from new but after time from heat will dish. Made a washer same dimensions as the new one out of aluminum problem solved.
