    Dirt dauber damage

Rails full of dirt and debris, compressor coming apart for inspection, actually have rebuild kit, 2008 300xs. Dirt mixed with oil in air intake, below throttle body it is a fine layer of oil and dirt and debris all in it, including puddle of oil on bottom. Pulling intake and cleaning, also inspecting reeds. Will see, if compression low after all done, rebuild time, 1/2 of tablespoon of dust, dirt, all kinda done.....

I shove a couple of rags into the cowl intakes on my motors when I let them sit for any length of time. Won't completely stop them but makes it more difficult. The nicer engine covers work great for this.

Yeah those bastards will get you everything.

They love to build nests on the smaller Hondas right on the belt and the will cause it to skip time. Happens all the time.

I hope everything works out for you Ron! I'm glad you found the source of the problem though! Good luck and let me know if you need anything!

PS, where did you find the compressor kit?

Well I honed my 100 hr air compressor and about to reassemble with new piston and rings, and all o rings. Have a moment to disassemble air handler and reed plate. clean like new and reinstall. Pull heads and inspect all cylinders, clean and put new o rings and head bolts. Will check compression at that point if all looks good. If not, new sleeves, pistons, rings and bearings and start over lol.....
