    I got lots of plates.
Most ports at the powerhead are Squamish.
The only large rectangle ones I've seen are on 225 pro max and 1983 2.0L 150hp.
That 150 has the big single ram trim.
However it only takes me about 1/2 hour to change the square port to a rectangle.
I'll post a photo of that 2.0L leg

    Here are some photos.
The ff has small plate ports.
2 other ff block here are the same.
2 f blocks also have small plat ports.
The block with the large Plate ports is the 2.0L block that belongs to that 20inch leg

are tha first pictures 2.4 or 2.5 blocks?.. looks ta be two piece divider plates? askin' 'cause i've never seen a two piece divider on any f or ff marked block.. also never seen tha f or ff on anything but a 2.5 block?

that 2.0 clamp/can assy is very early model stuff... pre '83.. explains tha 9 ring crank.. but even later model 2.0 adapter plates have tha big holes...........

That photo of the blocks is the same photo loaded twice
    It's 2.0L block. 3 1/8

    Ill edit out.
This photo is of a stock ff with small plate ports.
My other f and ff blocks are opened up but I know they are all originally small port as I've had to open up.

that block in tha pic is a '91.. should be justa F that i remember.. back when i was doin' all this stuff nobody really went by or used tha letters ta describe tha blocks.. i do know that every block i had, built or whatever and took notice of tha letter junk tha FF had tha larger rectangle exhaust ports.. not quite as big as tha high perf. stuff but not like tha 2.4 200 either.. but we're talkin' 'bout merc junk so anything is possible with them...............

It definitely a ff but like you say anything is possible.
Merc probably grabbed whatever was needed to finish a production run if caught short.
My next project is to put a v6 looper on this 15inch Looper leg.
Don't know much about looper omc.Click image for larger version.

Picked up an EE today. I felt bad for the old girl, clearly a bad case of FF envy

One difference I noticed right off the bat is the EE comes set up with five petal tear drop reeds and the FF came large four petal square style reeds. I havent disassembled the EE yet but a quick look inside the exhaust dump the chest appears to be the same as my FF ??? What are the chest differences?

Unless your EE chest has been modified, I think the BB CC EE and F all share the same chest and small exhaust dump size. The FF has the larger chest work with the small exhaust dumps. The 225 PM pulls all the good things together.

My ff has the 5 petal tear drops.
It has very large port runners in the chest, almost 4 inches wide.
EE much smaller, less than 3 inch wide runners.
Both have small base port size.
