    Don’t like them.
Installed one in our cruiser and it would come on and stay on.
Only way it would shut off was by killing power to it.
Replaced it under warranty and new one did same!

Funny part was, that pump was under the vee birth in the forward cabin.
So it would cycle every 15 mins or so and guests described the sound (not knowing what it was) as an elevator/flap on a wing on a plane taking off.

Read up on them and that was a common issue.

Cuder, every one knows the democrat run municipalities are the ones that have been run into the ground , and kept in closure .. to make the POTUS look bad. If you are too ignorant to realize that ,... then there is no hope for you.
I'll ask nice , Please stop running threads into the ground with liberal whining .. it's not a cure for your TDS syndrome.

Some of the Yamaha heads that I have done had the Toradol shaped chamber .. I think it is one of the better designs out there ...

...used lotz of them, never had any problems. always installed at transom as singles or duals. 1500's or 2000's. smaller pump(s) forward usually, as they were never really even needed, but there for backup.

Not everyone wants to run around in a white boat. Whats wrong with going fast and looking good? Could you explain that to me. Not quit sure how to take your example about Wildman putting a bow tie on a pig and it sells. I thought about it, all I can come up with is you are calling Randy's boats pigs. Maybe I miss understood your point.
Randy has an all white 22 Liberator going out to the Northwest no paint....does that mean the buyer has no ego?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on an intelligent response about yet another "lost in left field" rant ..

Ifin I were a betting man .. I'd have to go with "hate" and "jealousy" as the top two motivating factors ..

LOL , yea that's true. But I gotta admit, these OMC guru inspired billet chambers made incredible power, just didn't compress the water I shoved up thru the exhaust very well ...

Ah well, politics has its own section pretty far down the page. Every once and a while it will spill over in the lounge.

FaceBook, Twitter, etc, etc definitely has taken away. Not just from here, but the vintage Porsche website I am a member of.

Chaz that first chamber you put up... I was thinking a huge spark plug or small cylinder! LOL!!!!

Is there a slight taper to the squish band?
    And is piston crown flat?

IMO, I can’t see doing much better than that.
Funny about the water too, I fought that on my last project w/a set of carved up heads on it.

Personally, with what’s going on w/covid, I find it difficult to put the amount of thought into my projects as normal.
When our government puts the rules in effect that they deem, “mandatory”, that we may not agree with, much of science also debates......, to put companies out of business..., decisions made by people that have no experience on anything but being in control, surrounded by yes men.

So I too am guilty of interjecting politics into this thread.
I see a lot in our area (central Ohio) I don’t like.
The Mrs is ready to move, to a state that allows the freedoms we used to have, run by people that hold people accountable while allowing us decide what’s right for our (my) family.
She is following this crap closely so it’s always a subject at the dinner table.

So yeah, I miss having this site as my release from reality, even if for a while.

So do I hit “new posts” and ignore the covid/political posts, be selfish (???) for still wanting to play w/boats or read/participate in the informative threads that Paul and others takes the time to post?
When I ignore them I feel guilty for not doing more to fight for my country.

    Mentally, I need the release.
Off this site, I fight the good fight and always portray a positive mental attitude in front of the wife even when I just want to throw something against the wall!

First one is an Aprilia jug and chamber. So yes , small bore and digital pictures sometimes make for some skewed, out of proportioned images ..

I got the chambers anodized first. Then daddy-O said .. I was .015 to close for his liking .. 3.854 / 3.3 / base piston machined for 3.0L Merc ... on roids.

The heads are strong billets , the water came from too many Cypress Garden's type wheelies ...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do need a little closure on this ... and if I'm wrong, certainly willing to put my hand in the air. Dad taught me long ago, it's the basis of becoming a man.

So when they closed off racing in Jasper at 5:00 PM :

    1) Did the racers say, even though I'm on a roll and can win this thing .. I think we should stop so I can eat dinner , get a good night's sleep , and start fresh tomorrow in over time.

    2) Did the DSRA say, even though we can finish this today. We are going to make everyone stay another day .. because we can.

    3) Or was it the Democrap mayor of Marion County .. that said . I have a Ninja-19 Curfew in place, so I can be seen as just another libtard mayor.

Great thread! We need some good solid build threads going on. I have always loved those. There's way more opportunity for depth of conversation and content here than on FB. I used to get myself pretty worked up about politics (yeah, yeah we DO have a government up here too ) but have since come to the realization that the only thing I can REALLY do to change anything is vote. So I do, its one day, and after that whatever happens, happens whether I like it or not.

Fujimo - those pumps do seem to work well from what I've seen, although people do get confused what the noise is. They are also more money, and our market is generally pretty frugal - a pumps a pump they say!

Chaz - I didn't know you were in the bowl making market as well! Those would make great candy dishes at Grandmas house!

Building a few cool things this winter I would post so I could be told I'm doing it rong and/or need to buy a fourstroke Mercury that weighs more than my boat so I'll just keep it among friends.

#METOO!!! I have to finish my SS2000/280SS rigging first though!

It won't be the first time for the SS to be in the Keys!!! Key West: Watched the Christmas boat parade, docked at the Mexican restaurant and ate, and then docked at the Caribbean Club (the one from the movie).

Idle speed only on the way to the condo with slips!...
