I'm very happy with it. I've put over 300 hours on it so far, and done nothing but regular service. I've had this boat across the country, been in 2 of the great lakes, and its been flawless. I average 3.75 mpg, cruising around 65+, you can hardly hear it running at idle (boat came with a 250xs and that air compressor was HORRIBLE)....

I don't worry about the boat batteries going dead, the alternator keeps up with the electronics, stereo, etc.
I don't worry about trying to find 2 stroke oil on the water, and non ethanol 91 is available on the water here. I have a slight concern about that when i move to florida in a couple weeks, but the way my new boathouse and docks are configured, I won't have a problem rigging up a fuel caddy.

Here's a pic from the water of my soon to be my new digs....

Here's a pic looking toward the St Johns from the dock. If you look up the canal, there's some slivers of silver. That's a boat wake in the river. I think i have to idle past 6 homes to get out of the canal. I believe when the water levels are normal, it isn't a snw zone, as it's on the very north end of Astor. I'm not sure.

My kids are basically grown. My daughter just turned 17, and my son will be 21 in may.

I'm looking for a smaller boat. Something like a 13 bullet. I've been kicking around having Persuader out of ohio lay me up one of his 13's.
He gets 6k for a hull and interior. I'd hang a new 60R on it, and put a little simrad in the dash. It would be a great little channel cruiser with just enough room for me a cooler, and maybe a chic...

    damnifiknow.....

But yea, lots of room for guests. I have my work cut out for me to convert the existing "man cave" area into something more fitting of my habits.
It's really set up for big parties, and that doesn't fit my program. I'd rather go lay down a bunch of miles in a day, come back to the dock have a little cookout and enjoy a campfire with a few close friends...

That space will get turned into a small guest quarters, it already has its own bathroom, and the rest will be really nice toybox/shop space.

Yea, I could have moved up the closing date, but I had a long list of things to finish up on this house before it was ready to be sold.
Living in a cottage originally built in 1930 lends itself to having a few loose ends to repair/upgrade. I have 85% of it knocked out already, and the list is getting shorter every day.

    Back to work!

...seen that house listed for quite a while, glad someone was finally able to take advantage of it. needs work, but they all seem to, in that neck of the woods. great spot & access to the water system for long distance cruising. no engine flushing either, lol.
