We went through similar.

I remember telling people down there that we weekended on our 24’ Sonic w/no AC and they looked at us like we had two heads!

As long as we had shade and a breeze, it was great.

I remember one summer day, finishing the restoration of that boat, outside, up/down a ladder all day (knew it’d be a **** day and weighed myself that morning) in the sun and lost 9lbs in one day!

Moved back to Ohio after 9 yrs in Fla and I wouldn’t go outside in the winter if it was bellow 50* for 2 yrs!

...lived in florida for a very long time now. there are a couple months in summer that are so hot & humid, that when you get out of the shower & in your clean set of cloths, and walk out the front door, you get hit in the face by a big wall of humidity & you immediately start sweating so much you won't believe... it will take a couple years to get used to the heat in peak summer here, but after that you will enjoy it. i said for years after moving here...i would rather sweat than freeze anytime.

Was fortunate to visit Reykjavik Iceland twice. Took a helicopter tour of the "golden circle" We landed on a glacier.
