If I were to start over, that would be the boat for me. Nose one or stock gear case? What prop?

80 mph is a testament to these hulls. Very nice.

This boat got a hydromotive 4-blade propeller that was re-worked by Jim Booe (former owner of Precision Propeller who build the Hydromotive propellers and he has built many outboard race propellers.
This is undoubtedly the best handling and easiest driving 20’ Allison we have built.

80mph with a 175, these are one of my all time favorite boats, I remember going to Coty Marine, I want to say in Woodbridge NJ a long time ago sitting in one when he was a dealer or just had one, idk it was late 80's. Amazing boat, GLWS

It has a sport master though right?

Yes, it is the sport master that has been reworked for the Allison.

The ad says it has one "Blueprinted Sportmaster Gearcase by BAR Marine"

And no, the GS needs to run the gearcase high, with low water pickup. A coned case or SM will be faster and handle better.

my apologies, I was confusing this boat with another we are selling. The Allison has a blueprinted sport master gear case (the SM that comes with the 175 pro xs). And yes, you are 100% correct with the GS needing low water pickups as well as pretty much every Allison.

slower hull speeds favor the traditional gear case. We have a pair of 300R’s that have the stock/heavy duty gear cases that we ordered for a 75mph center console I was thinking about. Yes, they are for sale.

    thanks
    Ben

Do you have a picture? The 175 ProXS never came with a SM.

I'm pretty sure the seller knows a thing........or 3 about Fast outboards.

Correct, it isn’t the standard configuration but It is an option from Mercury when you order it new, it costs about $5600 retail.

I am getting more pictures this weekend and will post them.

    thanks
